1) GOAL :- to make reading a habit for the primary children . Children learn to love reading

2) PROCEDURES :- ln the academic meeting we discussed regarding reading and all

teachers suggested to make every Monday and Tuesday afternoon after school for 50

Minutes to let children read any book they want to. This we have been doing for the3)

4)past two months i.e. August and Septerm.ber . As days are getting colder now in winter

time table we have made reading in the early morning before assembly for 20 minutes

everyday i.e. means a child gets 2 hours a week to read . This is besides reading

excluding library periods for the classes. All the class teachers look after the reading

period. All staff who can read also take part in it.

PROBLEM FACED in the beginning were that getting children used to reading books as

the children concentration level is very limited . with time now they have adapted to the

reading habits.

THE RESULT is for all to see that now children have inculcated the habit of reading and

the best part is they enjoy reading . So, now we need many new books from DOE and

Sambhota as children have already read all the books in the library and class room
